Wow. It's been a while since I've updated the blog.
Rob has been working at Orgill distribution for about 5 months now. He likes the work, but doesn't love the hours. We love having benefits though, it's a nice change. It's nice that his job is only 10 minutes away from where we live. We are grateful he has a job, we were really worried there for a while. I think it might be quite a few years to get back up to what we were making, (if we ever do) But Rob is doing mechanic work on the side, and I'm still doing hair on the side. So we will figure out a way to make ends meet and have fun along the way. Rob is also going to school this semester. He is only 13 credits away from getting his associates. We figure that if he gets a degree it could make him more employable for the future.
Now on to my favorite topic, my boys. I have so much fun with them. Some days I feel selfish. I am the only one that witnesses some of their cute behaviors and silly and special moments.
Ryder is almost 2 and 1/2 he knows most shapes, all his colors, and knows and recognizes seven letters of the alphabet. He loves to sing and dance. He is my biggest helper. He loves to help, but he is actually to the age where his helping is actually becoming helpful. He makes me laugh multiple times each day. He is such a good brother. I was really worried for a while. He seemed to try to pick on Rusty for a month or two. Now he likes to help with Rustin, and play with him, and is protective of him. Ryeder is doing fantastic with potty training, way better than I ever expected. He's been wearing underwear for a little over a month. He has only had one wet accident, and 2 pooping accidents in that time. He has been doing great at telling me when he needs to use the bathroom. Overall potty training has been a good experience.
Rustin turned 6 months yesterday. He is scooting all over the place. He has started to scoot, I think he's close to crawling. He can sit up, but he still is a bit wobbly or distracted. He will be sitting up all stable and perfect then see a toy and flop over to get it. He loves being social. He loves visitors and he loves going places. He loves eating rice cereal and we have just started fruits and veggies and he loves that too. He still doesn't sleep very much. Naps are very sporatic. He still wakes up 2-3 times a night. He is dramatic. He is so happy when he wants to be, and so cranky and moody when he wants to be. He is very strong willed. He is a fun baby and we have a blast with him. He loves playing with his big brother, and watches everything he does.
You may ask what I've been up to? Well I'm keeping busy with my few hair clients, and taking care of the boys while Rob is busy with school and work. Life is kinda crazy and busy this days!
